Variations (or Quack ducky quack, miaow kitty miaow woof doggie woof etc you can convert this into any type of animal just depends on noise you make!)

Stand in circle – one person is blindfolded and stands in middle of circle – they then have to find way to people and say squeak piggy squeak (woof doggy woof etc) and that person squeaks woofs etc and blindman has to guess who that person is. If guessed correctly swap places. If not blindman moves on to another person to guess

Depending on ages before party write lots names, things on paper if younger kids use pictures – then fold up and put in bowl. Then player/actor picks piece up and has to act out how, what they are (no talking allowed!) whoever guesses correctly becomes next actor

Split into even teams – first person on each team is given a balloon- then race to see who can pass their balloon along their line without using their hands! – so need to pass between knees or under chins etc!- winners are team who gets balloon to end fastest (without cheating! If cheat balloon back to front of line and start again

Choose someone to be the Wolf

Everybody else stands about 25 foot away from Mr Wolf

Mr Wolf turns his back and everybody shouts “whats the time Mr Wolf?”

Mr Wolf turns round as says time (ie 1 o’clock, 7 o’clock etc)

Everyone else then takes equivalent steps – ie 7 o’clock= 7 steps)

Then Mr Wolf turns around and it carries on

When Mr Wolf turns and shouts DINNER TIME – everyone has to run back to start with Mr wolf trying to catch them – whoever he/she tags before they reach the start becomes Mr Wolf

Play music all have to dance around and stop when music stops if move you’re out. Winner is last person standing.

Everyone likes on backs like sleeping kitties – one person (Mummy Cat) has to go round and try and make people laugh (without touching the kitties) when you laugh you’re out – last sleeping kitten becomes Mummy Cat it starts again

Wrap a parcel in layers of paper ( a good idea is to put a sweet in between each layer) so anyone who gets to take of layer gets something. Play music and kids pass the parcel from one to another – when music stops person holding parcel takes off 1 layer- then game continues – keeps going till last layer comes off that person is winner and keeps the gift if got lots of people playing why not have a couple of parcels going round at same time?)

Variation or make it name of child who’s party it is says ie James Says)

The leader (ie James) then issues instructions and everybody else has to copy. Ie James says stand on one leg etc – if forgets the james says – and people still do it they are out! Last person standing wins and becomes new leader.

Use post it notes – write name of person, animal, character, food etc and put it on another persons forehead (so they can’t see it) then they have to guess who they are by asking questions – eg am I alive? Can you eat me? Depends on number of people – can do it large circle – work round circle everyone getting a turn in guessing – keep going till everyone has guessed who they are (to make easier agree on topic before ie all have to be types of fruit, animal etc)

Split into teams – take in turns for one team to ask a player in other team a question the only answer you can give is sausages – eg what do you clean your teeth with? Sausages – any other answer and that person is out!

Players sit or stand in a circle facing inwards. One person is the goose hunter and goes roud outside of circle touching people on head saying duck, duck etc – when touches someone and says goose – then runs around circle to try and get the gooses space – the goose has to run around the circle and try and get there first. The loser gets to be the next goose hunter

(variations can instead of running, try crawling, hopping etc)

Need a beanbag – players sit in circle (with someone on music who’s not looking at circle) when music plays bean bag must be passed from player to player (try to pretend it’s really hot) when music stops person with “hot potato” sits out and them game carries on till one person left
